At least 25 people die after passenger bus overturns in Algeria

At least 25 people have been killed and several others injured after a passenger bus overturned in a serious road accident in Algeria.
According to local authorities, the bus was transporting passengers when, for reasons that are not yet known, it lost control and overturned.
Emergency forces immediately arrived at the scene and launched a search and rescue operation to extract victims and survivors from the damaged vehicle, Reuters writes.
Medical teams have transported the injured to nearby hospitals, while authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the accident. It is not yet known whether the cause was high speed, a technical defect, road conditions or some other factor.
Road accidents are a constant problem in Algeria, where thousands of collisions with fatalities are recorded every year.
This accident is one of the most serious recently recorded in the country and has caused great shock among Algerian public opinion.
