The counting of diaspora votes, in addition to influencing the distribution of mandates among political entities, has also brought changes to the ranking of parties in several municipalities in Kosovo.

According to preliminary results, the Vetëvendosje Movement emerged as the leading force in the vast majority of municipalities, but in some municipalities of the Dukagjini Plain, other political entities held the upper hand.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) came first in Istog, while the Alliance came first in Junik.

However, votes coming from the diaspora have changed this picture.

In Istog, the Vetevendosje Movement has already moved into first place. Even though three boxes of diaspora ballots belonging to this municipality have not been counted, the Vetevendosje Movement leads the LDK by 109 votes, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks third.

Meanwhile, in Junik, where one more diaspora box remains to be counted, LVV has surpassed AAK and currently leads by 40 votes.

LDK ranks third, just five votes behind the Alliance.

With these changes, LDK no longer holds the position of the leading force in any municipality in Kosovo, while AAK continues to maintain its primacy in Deçan.

Even after including diaspora votes, PDK remains the main force in Skenderaj, Drenas and Malisheva. / Telegraph /
