Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones recalled how she accidentally met Leonardo DiCaprio, who she had a huge crush on as a teenager. She liked him so much that she kept his picture as the wallpaper on her phone for a long time.
Appearing on the podcast "Dish from Waitrose," the 28-year-old actress revealed which celebrities she admired as a child.
"I was obsessed with three people. The first was Logan Lerman from the movie 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians.' He had that haircut like Justin Bieber. I loved Greek mythology and somehow it all connected to it," she said.
"Then Leo DiCaprio in 'Romeo and Juliet.' I know it's a bit cliché, but he was on my phone background for a long time. And recently, a model from Tumblr, Ash Stymest. He just smoked and had a great haircut. That's it, that's who they are," she added.
Edgar-Jones then revealed that she did indeed meet DiCaprio later.
"I finally met him. We met by chance at a club, at an after-party. We just passed each other and met. It was really nice. Of course, I didn't say, 'Oh my God, you're still on my phone background,'" she joked.
The actress recently spoke to Vogue about her private life and three-year relationship with photographer Ben Seed, known by the nickname Pip.
Edgar-Jones revealed that they often have to adjust to each other's schedules due to work commitments. "We try not to be apart for more than three weeks, if possible. We're either together all the time or completely apart, but somehow we manage. It can be hard when I'm away, but luckily there's FaceTime. We always find a way," she said.
She spoke very emotionally about her 37-year-old partner. "After so long, I feel like we've been through a lot together. He supports me a lot and encourages me in a special way. I feel safe and happy with him," she said.
The actress also moved to East London because of him. "Before him, I didn't know that part of the city at all. He lived near London Fields and then I just fell in love with East London," she said.
In the same interview, Edgar-Jones also spoke about her desire to become a mother one day, admitting that she was worried that endometriosis might make the process difficult.
