Three England players will travel to the World Cup despite not being invited by Tuchel
Thomas Tuchel will take three additional England players to the World Cup, despite not including them in his 26-man squad.
Ahead of the first match against Croatia on June 17, England's official World Cup squad was confirmed on Friday afternoon by manager Tuchel.
In his first major tournament since replacing Gareth Southgate at the end of 2024, Tuchel did not hesitate to make big decisions, selecting some surprise names and leaving some stars out.
Phil Foden, Harry Maguire, Cole Palmer, Lewis Hall and Morgan Gibbs-White are among the most notable absences from the list, while Tottenham defender Djed Spence and Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney are the most unexpected inclusions.
Following the announcement, many fans and analysts have reviewed the squad and ranked the players who, in their opinion, should have been part of the 26-man roster.
It has now been revealed that four more players will travel to the World Cup with England, three of whom are young players without any appearances for the senior national team, who will be part of England's official training camp in Florida.
During the press conference following the squad announcement, Tuchel confirmed that Rio Ngumoha, Josh King and Alex Scott, along with a fourth player who has yet to be announced, will join the team in Florida ahead of the World Cup.
"We'll get some new players to train with us and keep the team the size we need."
"Alex Scott. Rio Ngumoha. Josh King. And there will be another player, who we can't name yet because it hasn't been confirmed," Tuchel confirmed on Friday./ Telegraph /
