"Kosovo Accords" return to RTK, new agreement signed with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK) and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKYS) have signed today a new cooperation agreement for the return and development of the traditional project "Kosovo Accords" within the framework of RTK's program.
The agreement was signed by the Acting Director General of RTK, Zana Spahiu, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Saranda Bogujevci, in the presence of the Chairman of the RTK Board, Dardan Beqiri, the Acting Director of Television, Rilind Gërvalla, and the Senior Advisor to the MCYS, Muhedin Nushi.
According to the agreement, under the umbrella of "Kosovo Accords" there will be a Song Festival on RTK, while the novelty of this return is also the children's festival, which for the first time will be organized by RTK on this big stage.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the local music scene, promote new talents, and advance Kosovo's presence at international music events.
RTK has emphasized that it is ready for its mission towards participating in the "Eurovision Song Contest" and "Junior Eurovision Song Contest", organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), considering this project as an important platform for the affirmation of Kosovar music and artists in the international arena.
The new agreement represents a continuation of the previous three-year cooperation between RTK and the Ministry of Culture, which ended this year. The parties have agreed to jointly engage in organizing the festival, developing training programs for artists, and promoting Kosovar music.
Details about the dates, format and application method are expected to be published by RTK and MCYS in the coming days.
“Akordet e Kosova” is considered the first and one of the most important Albanian music festivals in Kosovo. Founded in 1963 by the Radio and Television of Pristina, the festival has played an important role in the development of entertainment, folk and children's music, promoting entire generations of composers and singers.
After a long absence of such a festival, RTK – within the framework of a preliminary agreement with the Ministry of Culture – organized three editions of the Song Festival, bringing a new dimension to the cultural life of the country.
The winner of the first edition was La Fazani (Arbër Salihu) with the song "Oj Kosovë", the second edition was won by Endrit Krasniqi with "Flas me gjejen", while in the third edition Arsi Bako triumphed with the song "Rreze zjarri". /Telegrafi/
