Done, Enzo Maresca to succeed Guardiola at Man City

Pep Guardiola informed Manchester City's board last night (Monday) that he plans to leave the club at the end of the season and they did not look for a successor for long.
Apparently, Guardiola had already announced his decision to the club's directors, who have already reached an agreement with 46-year-old Enzo Maresco, who will now take on the role of manager.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Maresca has reached a verbal agreement with City's management and now we only await official confirmation of the completed cooperation.

He is a former Italian footballer and student of Pep Guardiola, with whom he worked for many years on City's coaching staff.
Maresca left City in 2023, after which he managed Leicester City and Chelsea, and the Blues sacked him from Stamford Bridge five months ago.
As a reminder, City is still in the fight for the English championship title, but tonight they will have to celebrate in Bournemouth to preserve their chances for the final round.
Of course, Maresca will replace Guardiola from the new season. /Telegraph/
