The famous hairdresser of Hollywood stars admits that he lied about the fee: It wasn't 86 thousand euros, I was paid much more
Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton (42) has admitted to lying when he said he was paid $100,000 (around €86,281) for a job he did — and that the actual amount was twice as much.
In an interview on the podcast "Great Company with Jamie Laing", Appleton said that the real fee was $200,000 (about 172,562 euros), while explaining that he had publicly lowered the figure for fear of how the public would react.
"I said 100 thousand because I was afraid of what everyone would say. I said it and then I got scared," he said.
Appleton, who is known as one of Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian family's closest associates, also spoke about how such a payment is divided in the US, emphasizing that a large portion goes to taxes and commissions.

"Once you get it, in America about 50 percent goes to taxes... then the agent gets 20 percent and the financial manager another 5 percent," he explained, implying that the real profit is significantly lower than the gross amount.
He justified the high price by saying that the work involves a lot of travel and requires full commitment, while adding that in certain cases he even works for free.
The article also mentions a sensational moment from the 2022 Met Gala, when Kim Kardashian commented on her appearance with platinum blonde hair and attributed the "failure" to her hair, saying that "everyone had ruined it" and that "it was all about the hair design." On the other hand, Appleton said that she likes Kim "as a blonde."
Chris Appleton has been present for years behind the scenes of the biggest star appearances, becoming one of the most sought-after names in the world of beauty and showbiz. /Telegraph/
