Official: Ter Stegen joins Girona on loan

Girona FC has officially confirmed the loan agreement with FC Barcelona for goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who will defend the red and white goal until the end of the current season.
The German goalkeeper moves to Girona after losing his main role at Barcelona, in a clear attempt to secure regular playing time and be part of the German national team at the World Cup.
The 33-year-old began his career at Borussia Monchengladbach's academy, where he made his Bundesliga debut at the age of 18. Thanks to his maturity and consistency, he quickly established himself as one of the most promising goalkeepers in Germany, before joining Barcelona in 2014.

Widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Ter Stegen is renowned for his modern style of play: excellent footwork, quick reflexes, secure positioning, aerial dominance and high tactical intelligence./Telegraph/
