Recently, a video has been circulating on the internet that shows in detail what the luxurious "Apocalypse" bunker, built during the 60s, looks like.
The bunker built in Kansas, USA, was once the "home" of nuclear missiles that only the American president had at his disposal to launch, the Telegraph reports.
Designed to withstand winds caused by a nuclear weapon launch at speeds of 3,200 kilometers per hour, the bunker also withstood a nuclear attack.
The video published by Dan and his son Lincoln shows the luxurious bunker that was once visited by President John F. Kennedy.
The underground bunker played a key role in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, where for 13 days the world lived in fear that war might break out between the US and the Soviet Union.
This bunker, which once had the capacity to launch US nuclear missiles, was owned by Larry Hall, who converted it into apartments for people with deep pockets. The 12 units of the bunker are being sold for between $1.5 million and $3 million.
In the video, father and son are seen walking through the bunkers, which at first glance look a lot like those in action movies, complete with rocket launch buttons.
The bunker had a special system that prevented even birds from flying over it. Also seen are maps showing the halls visited by President Kennedy during his inspection of the works. /Telegraph/
