A serious incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Peja, where two people, a female and a male, were found without signs of life inside a villa on "KFOR" street.

Regarding the case, the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution of Peja, Shkodran Nikçi, provided details about the actions taken by the authorities at the scene.


He said that as soon as the information was received, the Kosovo Police immediately went to the scene, where it is suspected that the people were without signs of life in a motel.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Peja and the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes have also arrived at the scene, while all actions have been taken to secure evidence that will serve in further investigations.

According to Nikçi, witnesses have been identified, while the Forensic Medicine Department has been called in to retrieve the bodies and will conduct an autopsy on the orders of the state prosecutor.

No firearm was found at the scene and the victims showed no signs of violence.

He stressed that due to the sensitivity of the case, no further details can be provided at this stage.

"Upon receiving the information, the Kosovo Police immediately went to the scene, it is suspected that they were found dead in a motel. The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Peja and the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes went to the scene and all actions were taken at the scene, securing evidence that will serve in further actions. At the same time, witnesses were identified, Forensic Medicine was invited to remove the bodies and, by order of the state, an autopsy was performed.
