The United States has approved the possibility of selling weapons worth about $15,5 billion to Israel and Saudi Arabia.
The US State Department has given the green light for potential sales of military equipment to Israel, worth more than $6,5 billion, through three separate contracts, the Pentagon announced.
Of these contracts for Israel:
• Joint Light Tactical Vehicle and related equipment – approximately $1,98 billion.
• AH‑64E Apache attack helicopters – about $3,8 billion.
• Another military agreement, worth $740 million, for the supply of power systems for Namer carriers, including logistical support.
for Saudi Arabia, the sale of Patriot interceptor missiles and related equipment, worth about $9 billion, has also been approved.
According to the Pentagon, the arms offer will not change the military balance in the Middle East and will not negatively affect US defense capabilities. /Telegraph/
