Orthodox in RMV celebrate Christmas Eve today

Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas Eve today, the day before the birth of Jesus Christ.
Traditionally, like every year, processions have been organized for this day this year. Under the organization of the "Christmas Eve Processions" Association, the event took place in more than 80 cities and villages throughout North Macedonia, as well as in the diaspora.
The main procession in Skopje brought together participants from almost all municipalities of the capital, along with their mayors. The procession started from the Skopje City Museum, passing through “Macedonia” Street and ended in the square in front of the Christmas Grotto, where a rich musical program was also held. Some of the participants, in the morning, also held a solemn meeting with the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, His Grace Stefan, at the “St. Clement of Ohrid” Cathedral in Skopje. There they sang the song “Eternal God”, which announces the good news of the birth of Christ.
"The feast of the birth of Christ, or the faith and knowledge that the Son of God also became the Son of man, became God-man to save us from the fall, may it make us courageous in witnessing to the truth, generous in showing love, and strong in facing temptations. Let us draw near to the Divine Infant, that we too may be born to a new life in him, and through us the world may experience the peace and joy that only He can give and that He continually gives to all those whose souls and hearts today and every day they exalt."
Christ is born, Christ is born, Christ is born – congratulations and blessings from God for the new year!” said His Holiness Stefan – Archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church.
