The Secretary General of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Aliti, spoke about the preparations and expectations surrounding the opening ceremony of the Pristina 2030 Mediterranean Games, emphasizing the importance of this event having the most dignified presentation possible in the international arena.

Commenting on the possibility of including big names in Albanian music in this ceremony, Aliti said that although there have been no concrete communications yet, he strongly believes that figures like Dua Lipa and Rita Ora would be willing to become part of this historic moment.

"We have not established direct contacts to discuss this issue, but I do not see it as problematic, because it is possible. Because I am convinced that Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, and the entire Albanian diaspora have that thirst for their country and Rita Ora and Dua Lipa in particular show it, in every appearance they have made worldwide, they have proudly shown that they are Albanian and that they are from Kosovo and I am convinced, considering the importance of the Mediterranean Games, that they would proudly accept to be part of this process," Aliti emphasized on SportCast.

Finally, he underlined that the opening ceremony of these games constitutes an extraordinary opportunity to promote Kosovo to the world, leaving open the possibility that the inclusion of international stars of Albanian origin could be one of the main elements of this organization.
