Alec Baldwin recently stated that he is considering retiring from his acting career.

Specifically, he revealed that he wants to spend more time with his family, after the very painful years that followed the filming on the set of the film "Rust", in which camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was killed.

Baldwin, 68, spoke about this on the "Awards Chatter" podcast, where he noted that time spent at home with his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their children has significantly changed his perspective on work.

"For me, because of the situation in New Mexico, it was very painful," he said during the conversation.

Speaking about the period after the tragedy, Baldwin stressed that he almost completely stopped working.

"I ended up spending a lot of time at home. I was home with the kids for three and a half years. I barely worked at all and that's changing now, I go out and do a bunch of things, but I was home and I got used to it, and I don't want to leave the house anymore. I don't want to. I don't want to work anymore. I don't want to. I really don't want to. I want to retire and stay home with the kids," Baldwin said.

He has a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his marriage to ex-wife Kim Basinger, and seven children with Hilaria Baldwin.

The actor was the subject of a criminal investigation into the circumstances of Halyne Hutchins' death. He was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter in January 2023, but the charges were dropped three months later.

He was charged again in 2024, but these charges were also dropped during the trial in July of the same year, after the court found that prosecutors did not consider evidence that could explain how the combat ammunition reached the scene. /Telegraph/
