Inside Ronaldo's nearly eight million euro residence in Madeira - where the footballer is staying isolated with his family

Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, 35, his wife Georgina Rodriguez, children, mum Dolores and brother Hugo are in quarantine together at the Juventus star's incredible home in Madeira.
The seven-story mansion in Funchal, Ronaldo's hometown, was completed last summer - four years after the former Manchester United star bought a warehouse and converted it into this luxury residence. The Sun.
Ronaldo is believed to have spent around seven million pounds (about 7.98 million euros) to refurbish the dream home, with sea views, as well as other lavish perks including two Olympic-sized swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and a football pitch.
History of the building from scratch
In 2015, Ronaldo bought the building, next to the luxury Savoy Hotel, located at the entrance to the port of Funchal, from local designer Nini Andrade Silva for an undisclosed sum.
Before that, it was the warehouse where the Diário de Notícias da Madeira, the local "Madeira" newspaper, was located.
The building also had a famous night club called "Bar/Club Noir".
But Ronaldo was confident he would turn it into a dream property.
In 2019, when the work was completed and the building was renovated, he moved in with his mother and brother Hugo, who also manages his "CR7" Museum.
It is not known how many bedrooms and bathrooms the property has, but there are four floors above ground - and the first two are occupied by Ronaldo, Georgina and their children.
On the roof you will find one of the pools, which Ronaldo was snapped enjoying during quarantine from one of his terraces.
There are two gyms, which Ronaldo has been using extensively to exercise these days, and even a small football pitch if he wants to have a match with Cristiano Jr.
On the ground, there is a large garage that can accommodate up to five cars.
What a sight
When Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez saw the sea view near her boyfriend's property, she reportedly instantly fell in love with the place and couldn't wait for the family to move.
Although it doesn't appear to be very private, the view of the Atlantic Ocean from the rooftop pool is stunning.
Overlooking Funchal's marina, the scenic landscape and sea air certainly feel when the Ronaldo family is there for peace and comfort.
While in quarantine during the coronavirus crisis, Georgina shared some of the stunning views of their luxury residence on Instagram.
Why is he here?
With Serie A suspended due to COVID-19, Ronaldo was given permission by Juventus to go to Madeira to help his mum, Dolores.
In early March she suffered a stroke and the world-famous footballer immediately flew on his private plane to be by his mother's side.
When he visited her at the Dr Nelio Mendonca Hospital, before she was transferred to a private hospital, he told them he had put on a protective mask, gown and gloves after it was discovered that one of his teammates had tested positive for the coronavirus.
It is a holiday home
Although Ronaldo is based in Italy now, his Madeira residence will surely be his holiday home.
Last summer, just before the start of the season, he was photographed by the paparazzi on one of the terraces enjoying a romantic stay with Georgina without their children.
And with his 48-room luxury hotel, the Pestana CR7, close by, it will also be a good place to keep on top of his business interests.
Ronaldo has never forgotten his roots, he recently supplied hospitals in Madeira with ventilators and equipment during the coronavirus crisis.
So of course he built his castle there. Good luck to him. /Telegraph/
