The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has held its third electronic meeting, in which it reviewed and approved a series of draft laws and decisions related to the financing of infrastructure, energy and development projects.

At this meeting, the Government approved the draft law for the ratification of the Loan Agreement for the "Pristina - Mitrovica High Speed ​​​​Road Project", an additional loan between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Republic of Kosovo.


The draft law on the ratification of the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Investment Bank for the project "Solar Photovoltaic Energy in KEK - Global Gateway" has also been approved.

In the field of infrastructure and environment, the Government has also approved the draft law on the ratification of the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the project "Podujevo Wastewater Treatment Plant", as well as the agreement for the Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Project.

Within the framework of this meeting, the request of the Municipality of Zubin Potok for the approval of the budget, following its approval by the Municipal Assembly for 2026, was also reviewed and approved.

The Government has also taken several decisions to request the President of the Republic of Kosovo to authorize the Minister of Finance to sign various loan agreements with international financial institutions. These include the projects “Trade and Transport Facilitation in the Western Balkans 2.0”, “Financial Sector Development in Kosovo” as well as the “Policy-Based Loan Program”, in cooperation with the International Development Association and the French Development Agency.

Also, the initiative for concluding a loan agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and KfW – Frankfurt am Main for the Policy-Based Loan Program was approved.

The meeting also approved the initiative to conclude two grant agreements for the Energy Efficiency Project in Public Buildings, between the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. These grants are part of the Regional Energy Efficiency Program for the Western Balkans and the Danish Fund for Kosovo - Partnership for a Green and Just Transition in Kosovo. /Telegrafi/
