Kosovo's women's football team won 3-1 against Bulgaria in a match held in Sofia, as part of the World Cup qualifiers.

The home team took the lead first, when Aleksandra Yaneva scored for 1-0 in the 9th minute.

Kosovo's reaction was quick: captain Erëleta Memeti equalized in the 15th minute with a direct corner kick for 1-1.

Just six minutes later, Blerta Smaili scored a beautiful goal to turn the score to 2-1, a result that ended the first half.

Sami Sermaxhaj's team played a stable second half and managed to maintain the score until the end.

The victory was sealed at the end of the match by Arjeta Fejza, who scored in the 89th minute for the final score of 3-1.

With this triumph, Kosovo continues its excellent performance in Group 2, recording three wins in three matches and leading the group with 9 points. Croatia and Bulgaria have 3 points each, while Gibraltar remains without points.

From League C, where Kosovo is currently, direct qualification to the World Cup is not possible. But first place guarantees an appearance in the qualifying play-offs and advancement to League B for the next edition of the Nations League.

Qualification for the play-offs is possible even from second place, but clearly the first place in the group is the goal of the "Dardans"."./Telegraph/
