World football legend Samuel Eto'o has congratulated Vedat Muriqi for breaking the record for goals scored in the Spanish top flight while playing for Mallorca.
The Kosovar striker has reached 55 goals in La Liga, one more than Eto'o himself, thus surpassing the former Cameroonian star.
Through a video message released by Mallorca, Eto'o congratulated Muriqi on this achievement:
"Vedat, greetings from Cameroon. I want to congratulate you. I'm happy for what you've achieved. I know it took a lot, a lot of work. But I want you to continue, enjoy yourself and make our RCD Mallorca even greater."
"Congratulations once again to you and to all your teammates who have helped you achieve this success. Congratulations!", declared Eto'o.
Muriqi appeared surprised and very moved by the message, thanking Eto'o and appreciating his words. /telegraph/
