Dukagjini Publishing House, in collaboration with Pearson, has opened the call for applications for the "DUKE TALKS - Speak. Record. Inspire" competition, an initiative that aims to foster creativity and communication skills in English among students throughout Kosovo.

This activity is organized on the occasion of English Language Day and invites students from grades 1 to 12 to create an English presentation video, addressing topics selected according to age groups.

The organizers announce that the competition will be based on the content of Pearson's English textbooks, approved by educational institutions in the country, thus directly linking the activity to the curriculum.

How to apply?

Students must:
- Choose a topic from their category (grades 1-5, 6-9, 10-12)
- Make an English video (1-5 minutes, in the style of an individual presentation)
- Send the application via the link: www.filemail.com

The topics are divided into categories:

Grades 1-5:
My ideas for a better world
Be a good friend.
My family, my support

Grades 6-9:
How to train your brain?
Protecting and damaging the environment
Traditional food in Kosovo

Grades 10-12:
The smartphone generation
Dealing with exam stress
My dream job

The evaluation of the applications will be based on creativity, performance and language skills. The winners will be announced in three categories (grades 1-5, 6-9 and 10-12), with prizes for the three best students and the three most successful teachers in each category.

The competition has a variety of prizes for winning students, including one-year scholarships, laptops, smartwatches, bicycles, and various technological devices.

This competition will feature 9 student winners (three for each category), as well as 9 teacher winners. The role of teachers is considered key in this process, as they will guide and support students during the preparation of the videos.

For their contribution, the nine most successful teachers will be rewarded with a trip to England, including a fully funded professional program at the IATEFL 2027 Conference in the United Kingdom (April 2027).

Applications must be sent by April 23, 2026 to the organizers' official email address: info@dukagjinipublishing.com, including the student's, school's and teacher's details, as well as a contact number.

This activity is supported by Pearson and offers students good opportunities for preparation through educational materials that help develop vocabulary and communication skills in the English language.

Organizers encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity to express their creativity and inspire others.
