"I became a 'meme' and lost my career," says HR manager after viral Coldplay concert video

A human resources manager, caught on camera hugging her boss at a Coldplay concert, has said that "the harassment never stopped" after the moment that went viral.
Kristin Cabot has spoken publicly for the first time about a video in which she was seen hugging Andy Byron, then CEO of technology company Astronomer, during a concert held in July. In the video, the two are seen embracing, before suddenly bending over and hiding from the camera.
Speaking to The Times, Cabot said he had been looking for another job but was told he was "unemployable".
The video, which showed the couple swaying to the music at the concert in Boston, Massachusetts, before trying to hide, quickly went viral. This came after Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked to attendees: "Either they're having an affair, or they're just really shy."
The footage was viewed millions of times and shared widely across platforms, while the two protagonists became the object of ridicule. Within days, the internet forgot the story, but for Cabot, the suffering had just begun.
“I became a meme, I was the most talked about HR manager in the history of HR,” she told The Times.
Cabot was separated from her husband, who was also at the concert.
In a separate interview with the New York Times, she explained that she had not been in a sexual relationship with Byron and that they had never kissed before that night — although she admitted that she had had a "sympathy" for her boss.
"I made a bad decision, had a few High Noon drinks, danced and behaved inappropriately with my boss," she said, adding that "I took responsibility and sacrificed my career for it."
