Russia bombed three Turkish ships, Erdogan reacts

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Turkmenistan, feels optimistic about ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.
He said he also wants to discuss the peace plan with United States President Donald Trump.
"Peace is not far away, we see it," the Turkish leader said in a statement upon returning from the trip, reports reuters.

During the talks, Erdogan stressed the importance of a limited ceasefire, especially to protect energy infrastructure and ports.
He said that the Black Sea should not be seen as a battlefield, because doing so would harm both Russia and Ukraine.
The Turkish leader also stressed the need for sea routes to be safe for movement.
Separately, Russia has reportedly attacked two Ukrainian ports, damaging three Turkish-owned ships, including a ship carrying food - a development that is fueling diplomatic efforts to maintain maritime security and reduce tensions. /Telegraph/
