PDK: Corruption in the Kurti government, the headline of the DASH report on Kosovo

The Democratic Party of Kosovo, in a press conference, assessed that the latest report of the American State Department on Kosovo exposed the extreme incompetence and failure of the Kurti Government in all areas.
The deputy of PDK, Blerta Deliu-Kodra, said that the findings of this report prove that for four years Kosovo has been led by a corrupt, incompetent, nepotistic and abusive Government that threatens the freedom of expression and the media.
"The US State Department's report on Kosovo, which, again this time, like last year, is extremely gloomy, shows more than our reality in Kosovo. This report, which is obviously credible and well analyzed, exposes the extreme failure of this Government in all areas, the most important in the leadership of the state", she added.
Deliu-Kodra raised concern about the findings of DASH's report on serious government corruption, which includes five ministers and two deputy ministers under investigation for criminal offenses related to corruption.
"We also have two decisions of the Basic Court in Pristina, which found the Minister of MINT, Rozeta Hajdari and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Liza Gashi, guilty of not declaring their assets. The egregious cases of this Government and their exponents during this mandate, which are related to massive government corruption, are numerous. The affairs of Ambassador Martin Berishaj, Nagip Krasniqi of KEK, Faruk Mujka, Ridvan Muharrem and Minister Hajdari regarding state reserves, single-source contracts that exceed 200 million euros, until the latest media reports about the forgiveness of millions of company debts by the Minister Liburn Aliu only strengthens these findings of DASH even more", she emphasized.
Deliu-Kodra emphasized that in recent years, Kosovo has suffered a decline in the rankings for media freedom as a result of pressure from Kurti Government officials, who, in addition to threats and defamation campaigns against journalists, have also taken concrete actions to close a national medium.
"This overview does not serve the future of Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic integration. On the contrary, the Government, through its actions, has worsened the well-being of the citizens and the image of the country in the world. For these reasons and not only, Kosovo is already under international sanctions with hundreds of millions of euros blocked. This is not the Kosovo that has been worked for for years", said Deliu-Kodra.
Meanwhile, the member of the Presidency of the PDK, Përparim Gruda, said that in the Report of the American State Department, the general weakening of the rule of law level and in particular the government's interventions in the justice system are accurately described.
"Several times in this report, the sentence "political interference in justice" is found. This clearly shows the continuous efforts of this government to protect its corrupt people through interference in the justice system. This is something that we as PDK have repeatedly said, today it was also confirmed by the DASH report. "Meanwhile, nothing has been done to implement the promised reforms in the justice system, the vetting process has not yet started and violations of the Constitution have continued," he stressed.
Gruda also highlighted the many problems that Kosovo has with violence against women and domestic violence, which are mentioned in the DASH report. /Telegraph/
