University breaks world record with 682 people in dinosaur costumes

A university in Alberta broke a Guinness World Record by gathering 682 people in dinosaur costumes to celebrate the school's 60th anniversary.
The University of Calgary, whose sports teams are known as the Dinosaurs, gathered people dressed as various dinosaurs on Saturday outside the Taylor Family Digital Library.
The gathering of 682 dinosaurs broke the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs, which was previously set by 468 from the Cox Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach, Florida, last year.
"The old record is gone," Ed McCauley, president and vice-chancellor of UCalgary, was quoted as saying by the Calgary Herald.
"This is just a great example of the University of Calgary and our Calgary community coming together to set a world record," he added.
A Guinness World Records judge was on hand to verify that the record had been officially broken. /Telegraph
