The European qualifiers for the 2028 Futsal World Cup will begin with the pre-qualifying round from 6 to 15 April 2026 and the groups have already been determined following the draw held today (Friday) in Nyon, Switzerland.

In total, 48 UEFA national associations are involved in the competition. Each participating association starts the competition according to the Men's Futsal National Team Coefficients.


The 24 participants ranked above enter directly into the 'Main Round', while the 24 federations ranked below begin the competition in this pre-qualifying round.

They were drawn into six groups of four teams each. For each pot, the teams were distributed in alphabetical order and drawn into Groups A to F.

The Kosovo national futsal team will be part of Group D, along with Montenegro, Austria and Gibraltar.

On the other hand, the Albanian National Team will be in Group E, along with Latvia, Cyprus and San Marino.

The winners and runners-up of each group of the pre-qualifying round qualify for the 'Main Round'. /Telegraph/
