The internet outage in Iran now constitutes the longest nationwide internet outage ever recorded in any country, internet watchdog NetBlocks has announced.
"The internet outage in Iran is now the longest nationwide internet outage ever recorded in any country, having entered its 37th consecutive day at 864 hours," NetBlocks wrote on X.
Comparing the situation in Iran with other countries in digital darkness, the report added: "Iran is the first country to have had internet connectivity and then lost it by reverting to a national network, while others like North Korea have skipped the connectivity phase and have been internationally isolated for a longer time."
Since the US and Israel first struck Iran, its regime has almost completely blocked the country's access to the internet.
This followed another internet outage that lasted several weeks in January of this year, during nationwide protests against the regime. /Telegraph/
