Brazilian influencer arrested on suspicion of selling illegal drugs via Instagram

Brazilian influencer Larissa da Silva Caetano Anunciacao, known as Larissa Caetano, and her husband were arrested on February 24 on suspicion of participating in the illegal sale of weight loss drugs.
Caetano has amassed nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram, sharing fitness and health tips. However, according to Brazilian authorities, as reported by CNN Brasil and Metropoles, the influencer allegedly used her status as a nurse on social media to sell weight-loss drugs, including tirzepatiden, to her followers.
Investigators claim that Caetano was not authorized to sell these drugs, therefore the transactions, according to the media, were illegal.
According to media reports, police say Caetano could face charges of crimes against public health and crimes against the economy, and could serve up to 20 years in prison. The investigation is still ongoing.
Caetano did not immediately respond to a request for comment from People magazine.
On Instagram, the influencer regularly shares posts about her weight loss journey.
She also offers her followers a variety of products, including protein powders, hair tonics, vitamins, and nutritional supplements, as is clear from her previous posts.
On another Instagram account, which has almost 8,000 followers, Caetano presents herself as a nurse and shared a series of photos of herself holding an injection, some of which appear to be injecting herself with an unknown substance into her lips. /Telegraph/
