Shipping container ski resort A stunning ski resort has been made from repurposed shipping containers. The Quadrum Ski and Yoga Resort has been built 2,200 metres above sea level and is described as "the first boutique hotel" in the Caucasus mountains of Georgia. Thanks to the mountain-inspired pyramid design all rooms have panoramic views and several have terraces where the resort says you can "watch a movie with a glass of Georgian wine". Accommodation ranges from single rooms to family and deluxe suites, and guests can enjoy the swimming pool and sauna. A spokesperson for copter.ge (https://www.facebook.com/copter.ge), who shot these stunning images, explains: "The architect Sandro Ramishvili and Irakli Eristavi are the minds behind this extraordinary creation. Built in a minimalist style, the hotel seems to repeat the local terrain, cascading down the mountainside. The philosophy behind the project was to safeguard the environment from the harmful effects of work and leisure. While building the hotel, not only has the landscape been untouched, but the materials used to build it were environmentally friendly and of local production."
