The non-opening of the Ibri bridge by analysts is considered to be related to the threats that the Government of Kosovo may have received from recent visits to Kosovo by international partners, or even a rationality.

In Kosovo, there have been no important visits, as in recent months.

And most of them came exactly at the time when the Government of Kosovo said it would open the Ibri bridge that connects the city of Mitrovica.

However, precisely these visits, according to political analysts, influenced Kosovo to take a step back in this direction.

"Yes, it is true that some very important visits, let's say a heavy artillery of American diplomacy especially calmed down the Government of Kosovo, not to take unilateral actions", said Dritro Arifi, political analyst.

But, according to Arif, did this setback of the Government come because of the start of coordination with the internationals or because there were threats from these visits?

"As for the agreement, I don't believe because we agreed earlier, but to say from a real diplomatic threat, that any further action in this or that direction will have consequences, for the state and for the individuals", Arifi continued .

However, the other political analyst, Albinot Maloku, does not believe that there could have been threats, but from these visits, the Government of Kosovo gained some rationality.

"I don't want to take them as threats, but as references to the change of policies that the government of Kosovo should follow from those that have been until now, which have not produced progress except regression, and in this case I do not want to I consider it as threats, but as a warning to the government about its actions", said Albinot Maloku, political analyst.

Kosovo has clashed with the European Union for the opening of the bridge, which the latter insist is a topic of discussion in Brussels, even though in 2016 the parties reached an agreement on its opening. /Dukagjin/
