A pop singer in China is suffering from burns on 80 percent of her body after being engulfed in flames.

Tang Anqi, a member of the girl band SNH48, was with a friend on the second floor of a bar, from where she came down like a 'ball of fire'.

It is not known how it was ignited, while her friend, who remains unnamed, said that "only when I saw the flames engulfing her body", Telegrafi reports.

Since Anqi was wearing tights and a very tight shirt, it was impossible for her to undress to escape the flames.

While she remains in intensive care, investigators are investigating how the accident happened.

Unofficially, it is learned that she was in a state of depression and set herself on fire. /Telegraph/
