42-year-old LM gave his statement to investigators regarding the robbery recorded on Thursday at a currency exchange in Tirana.
He initially denied being the perpetrator, but during a search of his apartment, police found the clothes used during the robbery, which LM had put in the washing machine, euronews.al reports.
LM then admitted responsibility and said he committed the robbery because his mother was sick and he had a lot of debt.
The 42-year-old said he had planned to commit the robbery before, but after the robbery in Delijorgji he was scared and decided to act at another time.
