In addition to being an advertising space for people who have an account on this social network, TikTok has already turned into a very profitable source of income for those who devote time to their activity inside, but who also have a large number of followers.
Albanian artists have not escaped this growing trend either. A vast majority of them have open accounts on TikTok, where they are even very active.

Although at first glance this may seem like a suitable form of maintaining the level of the established audience, the reason for this increasing activity of well-known pop names on this social network lies elsewhere.
And that is the great benefit that they are having from the videos that they publish, whether they are posted, or even in the form Live.
Valon Kerolli, a well-known expert on social networks, has explained the monetization methods of those who are known as "gifts" on TikTok, or "gifts" in Albanian.
He explains that artists in Kosovo benefit from TikTok in two ways; By making personal agreements with businesses for advertising, as well as in the gifts they receive from the audience.

"Currently in Kosovo, Kosovar artists benefit from TikTok in two ways: By making personal agreements with different businesses to advertise their products in the posted videos, as well as from the gifts they receive from fans, mainly from the gifts they receive while are LIVE in a 5-minute duel game", explained Kerolli for Telegrafin.
Valoni shows that the value of gifts on this social network varies from 0 to 500 dollars, while according to him the most expensive gift is "TikTok Universe".
Whatever amount the artists monetize, 50 percent of it is taken by the social network in question.
"On TikTok, gifts are converted into digital currencies (coins) and their monetary value ranges from 0 to 500 dollars (35000 coins), which is the value of the most expensive gift known as the TikTok Universe. Those who receive these gifts can convert them into cash, with TikTok receiving 50% of the value and the artist receiving the remaining 50%," Kerolli further tells Telegraf.
Kerolli also says that in order to be paid for video views, Albanian artists must be part of the "Creators' Fund" that TikTok itself has created, but that creators from Kosovo and Albania still cannot become part of this fund.
And being a regular monitor of social networks, he adds that Albanian singers from the Live videos, in which they enter every night, benefit an average of one thousand euros per day, without counting the percentage that TikTok receives.
Based on this regulation of this network, it seems that celebrities from the Albanian music market earn hundreds of euros a day only from videos Live.
"Following some of these most popular artists and the gifts they receive in these duels, but even if we see that every evening they enter Live we can freely say that they benefit a lot, an average of one thousand euros per day without counting the percentage that TikTok receives", he says.
Seeing these huge profits of artists as well as other people that TikTok has made famous, the Tax Administration of Kosovo has already been put in motion.
This institution has made it known that during this year, in cooperation with the financial intelligence, it plans to coordinate and see the ways of identifying and treating financial beneficiaries from social networks, which includes TikTok.
In relation to this warning, Carolli also spoke to Telegrafin.
He says that if this is realized, then it would be necessary for people who have this network as their only source of income to be taxed much less than artists who benefit in other ways from their primary activity.
"Of course they should be subject to tax, but if I were asked, I would impose a much lower tax on ordinary people whose only source of income is TikTok," he concluded.
