The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has reacted sharply to what he describes as paid attacks and external influences on the party he leads, stressing that the LDK will not allow the spread of a "worldview based on crime, fear and mercenary behavior."

In a public post, Abdixhiku stated that the attackers, without being directly mentioned, were "self-proclaimed", indicating, according to him, the way they think and act. He stressed that this mentality does not represent the values of the LDK and will not be allowed as words, thoughts, or influence within the party.

"I believe in politics that cannot be bought, in words that cannot be paid for, and in people that cannot be sold. LDK membership cannot be sold or bought, and this is what sets us apart," Abdixhiku wrote, adding that he will defend the party and each of its members from paid attacks from abroad, even if he remains alone in this stance.

He stressed that the LDK will continue its path forward, despite, as he put it, the "shouts" and external pressures, underlining that noise can be paid for, but the truth cannot.

"The truth always wins," concluded the LDK leader. /Telegrafi/
