WWE superstar Roman Reigns recovers from cancer and returns to the ring - four months after vacating the title due to leukemia

WWE star Roman Reigns has announced that he will return to the ring, four months after relinquishing the universal title due to his battle with leukemia.
The 33-year-old, whose real name is Joe Anoa'i, announced on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that his cancer was in remission and has received a huge outpouring of support from his fans.
During Tuesday, Reigns talked with the moderator of Good Morning America, Robin Roberts (who also survived cancer) and on this occasion thanked his family, friends and fans who supported him during his treatment.

When asked what it was like to return to the ring, he said: "It was incredible. It's one of those things I thought I would never do again."
"I knew in my head that this journey wouldn't end until I got back in that ring and addressed my fans."
"I was very emotional last night (Monday), and I never get emotional... But everyone was great, the love and support throughout this whole process was incredible," Reigns said.
Roman was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 22 (in 2008), while in October last year he said that he would not be able to compete in WWE due to his health condition. For this reason, he gave up the title of the Universal Championship.
Now after his return, he has said that he will use the WWE platform to raise awareness about cancer and seek the support of those in need, just as he himself has been.
"I'm so grateful, humbled and honored to be saying this. The good news is that I'm recovering. And as I say this, Big Dog is back!" he said on Monday Night Raw, but has not yet announced an official return date.
Reigns is one of the most decorated wrestlers in the modern era, having held the World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, Tag Team, and United States Championships.
He was also successful in American football at Georgia Tech, before joining the WWE.
Roman married Galina Joelle Becker in 2014 and together they have an 11-year-old daughter and two-year-old twin sons. /Telegrafi/
