US welcomes agreement on Law on Foreigners and stresses importance of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue

The United States of America (US) has welcomed the announcement of the implementation of the Law on Foreigners, describing this development as a positive step towards institutional and political cooperation.
In a statement given to the Telegraph by a State Department spokesperson, the US praised the parties' commitment to this issue.
"The United States welcomes the announcement of the agreement on the implementation of the Aliens Act. We appreciate the commitment of the parties to this issue, in order to reach a mutually acceptable solution," the response states.
According to this statement, dialogue and willingness to compromise are key elements for addressing sensitive issues.
"The normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability. The EU dialogue is a recognized channel for Pristina and Belgrade to make progress in the normalization process."
Regarding what was discussed at the meeting that took place in Washington with the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, they said: "As a policy, we do not comment on private diplomatic conversations." /Telegraph/
