A theft case was reported on Sunday around 13:00 PM at the mosque in the village of Mirash in Ferizaj.

The spokesperson for the Ferizaj Regional Police, Kanun Veseli, announced that unknown persons broke into the religious building, where they stole the charity box.


According to him, the amount of money that was in the cash register at the time of the theft is still unknown.

In addition, the suspects also damaged the facility's security cameras.

"According to the imam, the value of the damage is around 50 euros for the cash register, while the damage to the cameras along with the accompanying equipment is worth around 120 euros," Veseli stated.

He added that, in coordination with the state prosecutor, the case was initiated as "aggravated theft."

The case is being investigated by the regional investigation unit of the Kosovo Police.
