The first reaction from a Russian official comes after Peter Magyar's victory in Hungary

While there has been no official reaction from the Kremlin, namely Russia and Vladimir Putin, on the outcome of Sunday's election in Hungary, Kirill Dmitriev - Putin's unofficial envoy to Washington - has offered his opinion on the X issue.
"This will simply accelerate the decline of the EU," he said in response to far-right activist Tommy Robinson. "Check if I'm right in four months."
As foreign media point out, Dmitriev's official role is as Executive Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, a sovereign wealth fund of at least $10 billion created by the Russian government to co-invest in the country's economy.
You may also remember his name from the US-Russia talks on Ukraine last year, when he held talks with US envoy Steve Witkoff.
And his reaction comes at the same time as the reaction of another world leader who supported Viktor Orban and who has congratulated Peter Magyar on his victory.
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis pledged cooperation in X, saying: "Confronting such a strong opponent as Viktor Orbán has never been easy, yet he has won the trust of the majority of Hungarians and carries great hopes and expectations."
"He should not disappoint. I respect the election result and look forward to our cooperation, because the relationship between Hungary and the Czech Republic is close and I will always work constructively with whoever the voters choose."
Before Magyar's victory, Babis praised Orban and said he "has always fought for a stronger Europe."
After his stunning victory on Sunday, Peter Magyar told a rally that "Hungary wants to be a European country again."
But while he is now poised to lead a supermajority after ousting Viktor Orban, Magyar was once an ally of the outgoing prime minister.
He has pledged to crack down on corruption, unlock billions of euros in frozen EU funds and tax the richest.Telegrafi/
