Pedri has always been valued at Barcelona, but this season he has begun to show the true potential that convinced the Blaugranas to transfer him from Las Palmas.
He has been one of Hansi Flick's standout players in recent months in particular, with the German coach finding the role that allows the 22-year-old to operate at his best.
It was in 2020 that Barcelona signed Pedro. He played an exceptionally high number of matches in his first season at the club, while also appearing at Euro 2020 and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
This has led to him constantly having injury problems in recent years, although he has managed to overcome these problems this season after a plan to restore his optimal form was drawn up earlier in the season.
Barcelona paid an initial fee of €5 million for Pedri's transfer, although the total amount appears to have been much higher.
According to a report from Catalan daily Sport, the exact amount Las Palmas received was revealed by the club's president, Miguel Angel Ramirez.
"I think we're talking about a sum of around 23 and 24 million euros, in that direction. We've reached a good agreement with a guy who has never played professional football," said Angel Ramirez.
The add-ons included in the deal for Pedro have already been paid, meaning Barcelona no longer owe Las Palmas any money.Telegrafi/
