Oil price rises to over 2 euros per liter in Germany due to war in Iran

The price of diesel in Germany has risen to more than 2 euros ($2.32) per liter as a result of the war in Iran, the ADAC automobile association said on Wednesday.
The group said the average cost of a liter of diesel across the country at the 7:15 a.m. peak was 2.054 euros.
Global markets have suffered significant losses in recent days following the US-Israeli attack on Iran on Saturday, which has sparked a wider regional conflict in the Middle East, foreign media write, according to Telegraph.
As a result, oil and gas prices have risen after Tehran restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key point for global energy trade.
Recall that about a fifth of the world's daily oil shipments pass through the strait between Iran and Oman.
US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he intends to secure maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz with the US Navy if necessary.
The price of crude oil, along with the dollar exchange rate, is the most important factor influencing changes in fuel prices.
Germany is supplied with crude oil from around 30 countries. The main suppliers are Norway, the US, Libya, Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom.
The price of E10 gasoline also rose sharply, costing an average of 1.995 euros per liter at the morning peak across Germany.
Oil and gasoline prices are typically highest in the morning and can drop by up to 10 cents by evening.
The average daily oil price last exceeded 2 euros in September 2022. /Telegrafi/
