"For four years we have been providing iftar to students in the Ramadan Sofra project. It is a sofra that unites Albanian lands, where students from Kosovo, Albania, the Presheva Valley, Montenegro, but also students from the most distant cities outside the Polog plain, are at the sofra. This work is similar to Tetovo, since the university was born in Tetovo. I also inherited it from my father, who told me that I should take care of the students and try to give them that family warmth that they lack," said Imam Ganija.

He spoke about the importance of knowledge in Islam, mentioning that the first words of God revealed to the Prophet are short, but with powerful messages.

"The first words that came down from God are short, but with powerful messages. In these five verses, God mentions knowledge three times, reading twice, and the pen once. All of these are the dough that gave impact to science and knowledge. Islam has given great importance to knowledge. If we analyze all the chapters of the Quran, we notice that God mentions knowledge over 500 times, while he mentions the heart 400 times. These are the two components that make a person successful. Knowledge has an irreplaceable place in the Islamic religion," said Ganija.

Regarding fasting, he said that it has many benefits, but the main goal is for a person to get closer to God, while also mentioning the health benefits.

"Fasting is first and foremost for a person to become pious. Fasting requires both getting closer to God and to people. Fasting, which is one of the pillars of religion, also has many other benefits, both in terms of health, social and moral aspects. Ramadan is a station in which our organs calm down and to burn our fats that we accumulate throughout the year," said Imam Ganija. /Telegraph/
