Leonardo DiCaprio remains without an award at the 2026 BAFTAs, while 'One Battle After Another' triumphs

Leonardo DiCaprio gave a sheepish nod of gratitude after missing out on another BAFTA award at the star-studded ceremony at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday.
The Hollywood star, 51, is the most nominated actor in BAFTA history with seven nominations, but has only won once in 2016 for “The Revenant.” He has also been nominated for “The Aviator,” “The Departed,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Don't Look Up.”
His new film, "One Battle After Another," was the night's biggest winner, taking six awards from 14 nominations, including Best Actor. Dailymail.

However, Leonardo and Timothee Chalamet, who was expected to win for his role in "Marty Supreme," were beaten out by Robert Aramayo for his role in "I Swear."
Producer Sarah Murphy said: "We wish more than anything that our partner, Adam Somner, was here to accept this on our behalf." Director Paul Thomas Anderson added: "Thank you for recognizing our film, it's an incredible honor."

He also noted about working with Leonardo: "He's not just an actor, he's a brilliant writer, and the understanding of his role and the whole story is his superpower."
The biggest loser of the night was the drama "Marty Supreme," which had 11 nominations and came away completely empty-handed. Jessie Buckley won the award for Best Actress for her role in "Hamnet," thanking her fellow nominees and her agent Lindy King for their support.

Robert Aramayo, winner of the EE BAFTA Rising Star, was also awarded Best Actor, shocking the audience and leaving Leonardo and Timothee speechless. He said: "I absolutely cannot believe this. Everyone in this category is speechless."
The ceremony was a night of surprises and excitement, showcasing the talent of youth and leaving some of Hollywood's biggest stars with mixed feelings from unexpected losses and victories. /Telegraph/
