Juventus and Milan are considering a possible player swap during the January transfer window, according to reports from Tuttosport.

It is a loan deal involving Federico Gatti and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The possibility was discussed during a meeting held on Friday, attended by Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, executive director Damien Comolli and new sporting director Marco Ottolini. It is understood that concrete talks between the two clubs could take place in the coming days.

Juventus' priorities in this transfer window remain a versatile central midfielder and a replacement for Kenan Yildiz. Spalletti has stressed that he will only sign players who can add quality to the team and not upset the balance achieved in recent weeks.

According to Tuttosport, the Juventus boss is an admirer of Loftus-Cheek, who recently rejected a move to Lazio despite interest from his former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri. Loftus-Cheek is looking for more playing time, with the hope of being part of England's squad for the 2026 World Cup, and Juventus could offer him more opportunities to prove his worth.

Loftus-Cheek's physicality and versatility would suit Spalletti's tactics, while Gatti would allow Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri to strengthen the centre of defence in the second half of the season./Telegraph/
