Iran has said the US president's demands are "excessive" after reviewing the 15-point plan proposed by Donald Trump. According to an official quoted by Iranian state television, Tehran does not consider the conditions acceptable.

The official stressed that Iran will end the war only when it deems it appropriate and only if its conditions are met.

He also underlined that Iran will not allow the US president to dictate the timing of the end of the conflict.

According to him, through an intermediary, Iran has made it clear to the US that it will continue to defend itself and has presented five main conditions for ending the war:

cessation of aggression and targeted killings;

establishing concrete mechanisms that guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again;

compensation for war damages and payment of reparations;

the end of fighting on all fronts and for all groups involved in the region;

international recognition and guarantee of Iran's authority over the Strait of Hormuz.

These developments come after Pakistani officials confirmed that Iran has received the 15-point American proposal to end the attacks between the US and Israel, writes sky news.

Meanwhile, Trump has stated that the US is in negotiations with Iran for a ceasefire, claiming that they are communicating with the "right people" and that the Iranian side is interested in a deal.

However, Iranian authorities have repeatedly denied the existence of these negotiations. Recently, a military spokesman even joked that the US was actually negotiating with itself. /Telegraph/
