Former Ukrainian military chief reveals rift with Zelensky after 2022 raid

Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom has spoken publicly for the first time about a rift with Volodymyr Zelensky.
General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi served as Kiev's top military commander until February 2024, the Telegraph reports.
Shortly after Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, Zaluzhnyi said tensions often flared over how best to defend Ukraine.
But he told the Associated Press that the relationship reached boiling point later that year, when dozens of agents from Ukraine's internal intelligence service raided his office.
Zaluzhnyi claims that the previously unreported incident was an act of intimidation.
The SBU said no search was ever conducted at the office, although it acknowledged that the address was part of an unrelated investigation.
He said that during the 2022 raid on his office, he called Zelensky's chief of staff warning him that he was prepared to call in the army to stop him and protect the command center: "I will fight with you and I have already called in reinforcements to the center of Kiev for support." /Telegraph/
