Turkish authorities have launched legal proceedings against 30 people for messages on Twitter claiming that the president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is dead.

At the same time, videos are circulating on social networks where Erdogan is seen walking fast and some claim that he has more serious health problems.

In the police announcement, it is said that the suspects are under investigation due to the announcements with the hashtag "olmus", which is roughly translated from Turkish as "he is dead".

The tweets followed growing speculation about Erdogan's health, followed by footage showing the Turkish president moving erratically and with difficulty.

In the latest video, Erdogan appears to be struggling to walk as he leaves the hall. Those on social networks pointed out that the Turkish president did not look well and some called for his resignation.

This video is not the only one. In the past months, a whole series of recordings have emerged showing Erdogan not looking his best. A video from February shows him needing his wife's help going down the stairs, the paper reports cumhuriyet.

Another video from August shows Erdogan struggling to walk to the mausoleum of Turkey's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

There are many rumors about Erdogan's health. Some reports say he forgot things and complained of breathing problems. According to this claim, Erdogan allegedly now has more doctors around him than his own staff and has reduced meetings with journalists. He is suspected of taking sedatives before public events.

On the other hand, the government in Ankara is releasing footage showing Erdogan in good health, walking normally, even playing basketball with ministers. /Telegraph/
