Arsenal are targeting a transfer fee of around €74m for Tino Livramento, but face competition from Manchester City.

Arsenal are planning a potential deal worth around €74m to sign Newcastle's Tino Livramento, but face stiff competition from Manchester City, according to a new report.

The 23-year-old defender will have just two years remaining on his contract in the summer, and both Premier League giants are interested in securing his services.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are considering a potential summer move for Livramento. The Newcastle right-back has established himself as a key figure in Eddie Howe's side at St James' Park, making 18 appearances in all competitions.

His contract expires in 2028 and the 'Larasques' will have very little negotiating power this summer, considering they had previously demanded around 70 million euros for Livramento in the summer.

The 23-year-old's performances in the north of England have earned him a place in the England squad, where he has earned three caps, and he hopes to be included in Thomas Tuchel's squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Arsenal face serious competition from Manchester City, who have had a long-term interest in the former Southampton player.

Livramento joined Newcastle in 2023 from Southampton in a deal worth €34.8 million and the 'Laraskat' are expected to make a huge profit from the transfer.

He indicated in November, after returning from a long absence, that there had been no negotiations for a new contract yet.

"This is not something I control. I leave it to my father and my agent. For me, I was out for seven weeks. I worked hard to come back and of course to help the team."

"I'm very happy with the way I played (against Man City). That's my focus now. To stay where I am and help the team as much as possible," he declared.Telegrafi/
