Arijan Ademi, a 34-year-old Albanian midfielder from North Macedonia and long-time Dinamo captain, has terminated his contract with the club. Dinamo and Ademi have reached an agreement, and it is a mutual termination of the contract. It is now known where Ademi will continue his career.

It is about the Hungarian first league team, Ujpest. An important reason why Ademi is going there is Damir Krznar, the former coach of Dinamo, who now leads the Hungarians. Although other opportunities were mentioned in the region, as well as in the Middle East, Ademi has made a decision and will end his career in another league.

Ademi began his career in Šibenik, from where he transferred to Dinamo in the summer of 2010. He spent a season on loan at Lokomotiva and quickly became an indispensable player in Dinamo's starting lineup.

Thanks to his relentless fight, he quickly became the club's captain. In October 2015, he experienced the most difficult days of his career when he failed a doping test after a Champions League match with Arsenal and was banned for four years. In the appeal process, Ademi managed to fight to have the sentence reduced to two years because he proved that he had not knowingly taken illegal substances.

He has remained at Dinamo to this day, with a short break in 2023. Then, in March, he left for Chinese side Beijing Guoan for 500 euros, but Dinamo brought him back ahead of next season, aware that the dressing room was missing a leader. Last season he was mainly a substitute and fans often criticized him for playing based on past glories.

He played a total of 420 games for Dynamo. He scored 27 goals and provided 24 assists, and his goals in Europe against Shakhtar, RB Salzburg and Hapoel will remain particularly memorable. With Dynamo, he won 12 league titles, six cups and four super cups.

He even played three times for the Croatian national team under Igor Stimac. Since these were not official matches and he did not count, he played for Macedonia. He has 33 appearances and four goals for them. /Telegrafi/
