Spain midfielder Pedri has spoken out against religious discrimination after a friendly match against Egypt (0-0) in Barcelona, where some fans targeted Muslims with offensive chants.
The incident occurred at the 'RCDE Stadium' around the 20th minute of the match played on Tuesday night.
A section of the fans began chanting, "Whoever doesn't dance is a Muslim," with some spectators dancing to the beat.
These calls caused Spain star Yamal to react with opposition, while another Barcelona star, Pedri, also reacted after him.
"We do not approve of racist chants. We do not like them and we categorically do not support them," Pedri initially declared.
"We all have to work together to eradicate this from football fields," the Spanish midfielder concluded. /Telegraph/
