After 27 years, with great emotion, the members of the Rushiti family returned to their apartment in the northern part of Mitrovica.
"With the return to the apartment, life will move forward," said Flurim Rushiti.
However, this return was more than emotional. They remember the difficult moments when they learned about the murder of their parents.
"The father's body was in this part, his legs were here, while the part from the waist up was behind, leaning on the corner of the couch. The mother, probably when she saw him in that condition, tried to help him. As far as I know, it is said that she was also shot in the back of the neck," Ibadete Rushiti Mehana recounts.
"When we called my mother once, they felt...", said Ardita Rushiti.
Luljeta Rushiti Ibishi shares her emotions the moment she found out about her parents' murder.
"I was in front of him and I said to Florim, tell me what you want me to say. He put his hands on me and said Lule, you know we haven't heard from your father and mother in a long time. I said which one? At that moment, Ardita entered the room, Florim's daughter-in-law, and said to me Lule, both of them," Luljeta Rushiti Ibishi recounts.
Despite the unforgettable and unquenchable pain, the Rushiti family will continue their lives where they were born, in the country of their martyred parents./RTK
