Adam Sandler: Even if I wasn't an actor, I would have married Jackie

Adam Sandler (59) believes his love for wife Jackie Sandler was written in the stars.
The famous actor said at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards ceremony that he is convinced that he would be married to Jackie today, even if he had not become a Hollywood star, writes People.
Sandler accepted the prestigious President's Award on Saturday, January 3, for his work in the film "Jay Kelly," a comedy-drama starring George Clooney.

After being introduced by co-star Laura Dern, Sandler reflected in his award acceptance speech on what his life would have been like if he had accepted his father's offer to work as an electrical engineer instead of pursuing acting.
"Sometimes I think, if I hadn't made it that year and gone to work for my dad, what my life would be like now," Sandler said.
"First of all, I think I would probably still be married to my wife, Jackie. It's destiny. Nothing can stop us."
Then, in his characteristic style, he added: "But we would definitely have a different house. Maybe, like, 10 fewer bathrooms and fewer of my little statues."

Adam and Jackie married in June 2003 and have two daughters - Sadie, born in 2006, and Sunny, who came into the world in 2008. /Telegraph/
