But what is more interesting than anything else in this historical report of this newspaper, which has been defunct since 1939, is the photo with which the news is presented.

There you can see the moment of the declaration of independence and the raising of the flag. The portrayal of the moment leaves something to be desired because the flag itself, as a symbol of the declaration of independence, is not presented correctly.

The eagle is seen with only one head in the photographic representation.

Historian Azdren Shala tells klankosova.tv that this presentation is wrong, while he shows the main reasons why this mistake could be made.

"The reports of the Austrian press about the symbol of the Albanian Independence flag are believed to be more products of a misinformation from the Austrian opinion of the time, or an acceleration of the Austrian policy to announce a new political situation in the Balkans", explains Shala.

"As a result of this, we also have some inaccuracies, like the eagle with one head on the flag."

Shala shows that there were other mistakes in the reports about the historical act of the Albanians, apart from this deformation of the flag.

"Added to this is the report of a newspaper of the Austrian era, which reported that the declaration of Albania's independence was made on November 27".

While, according to Albanian historiography, Shala says, "the flag of the Declaration of Independence is explained as a deliberately chosen symbol, which symbolized the centuries-old effort of Albanians for independence and state-building".
